Drawing Inspiration from the Tianhou Temple Challenge Activity and Transforming It into Creative Gifts for Campus Promotion

On the day of the Dragon Boat Festival, the Tianhou Temple held a "Challenge Little Academy." Completing the learning sheet allowed for a lucky draw, which immediately caught our eyes. After seeing the crowd lining up for Jian Dui at the entrance, we each went off to do the challenges.

Among them, turning the Tianhou Temple peace amulet into a "Little God Cloth" was so cool to us, and it also inspired our great idea for promoting and introducing Lukang Jian Dui on campus.

During the challenge process, we discovered a super cool prize—the "Little God Cloth." An originally ordinary peace amulet, through skillful folding, unexpectedly turned into a miniature god's clothing! This creativity immediately grabbed our attention, and the team members unanimously agreed: "This is the idea we've been looking for!"

Although the idea was great, the folding method looked very complicated. Fortunately, Director Ching-Ju helped by breaking down the tedious steps into simple "step-by-step movements."

We followed the illustrated instructions organized by the director and folded step by step. From the initial clumsiness to becoming increasingly proficient later, we finally mastered the technique of transforming a flat amulet into a 3D Little God Cloth.

Amulet makeover ~ Now that we've learned the Little God Cloth, we certainly couldn't just give it to the teachers. We also wanted to give it as a gift to students who earnestly participated when promoting the Lukang Jian Dui activity on campus. Later, incorporating the spirit of Nüwa patching the sky into the eco-friendly sky-patching action extended from our promotional activities, we also used our ingenuity to create a Japanese "Omamori" (amulet) style outer packaging. We placed the Little God Cloth and the Bagua inside, sending out full blessing energy.

Simply giving the Little God Cloth seemed to be missing something, so we used our ingenuity to design a "Japanese Omamori" style outer packaging. This turned the originally traditional peace amulet into an exquisite charm that students would want to collect.

Inside each Omamori, there is a "Little God Cloth" we folded ourselves and a "Bagua" symbolizing warding off evil. This gift contains our full blessings and heartfelt intentions.

We are not just giving a gift, but also integrating the spirit of "Nüwa Patching the Sky" into it. This Omamori represents not only a prayer for safety but also a commitment to "eco-friendly sky-patching." We hope the classmates who receive the gift will also practice environmental protection in their daily lives to protect our earth (just like Nüwa patched the sky).

The Tianhou Temple activity really opened our eyes. It turns out that traditional religious elements (peace amulets), with just a little creativity (turning them into Little God Clothes), can hold such a great attraction for young people. This gave us more confidence in promoting "Lukang Jian Dui"!

From not knowing how to fold, to mass production, to designing the Omamori packaging, although this process took time, we knew it was to be given to classmates who earnestly participated in the activity. This taught me that learning is not just for oneself, but to share this beauty with others.
