Campus Broadcast and Environmental Decoration

(I) The "Sound" Feast of Lunch - Audio File Conception

Hello everyone! We are the Ludong Elementary School Sky-Mending Team! ...On Teacher's Day, we sent our recorded radio broadcast blessings to our teachers, because they are like Nuwa, always helping us catch up on our learning gaps.

We transformed the unique "Jian Dui Mends the Sky" custom of the Lukang Dragon Boat Festival into a way to express our gratitude to our teachers. In their reflections, the children mentioned that their teachers, like Nuwa, used perseverance and love to "make up" for students' learning gaps. This creative combination of traditional mythology, local cuisine, and teacher-student bond demonstrates a high level of literacy.

Initially, the recorded audio content was intended as a thank you message to the teachers for broadcast on Teacher's Day. Later, when promoting the environmental campaign "Mends the Sky," we recorded another recording to be played during lunchtime, allowing more students to understand how the activity was conducted.

Through the broadcast, many younger elementary school students began asking what "Jian Dui" was. Global warming caused by modern humans is like a hole in the sky, and we can learn from Nuwa's spirit to protect the Earth through these small actions.

(II) Environmental Protection Campaign on Campus

We recreated our ocean home on campus, with each sixth-grade class using collaborative creations as a stage to voice our support for the ocean. The marine life sculptures were made from recycled paper pulp. Our ocean-themed wax cups also showcased our creativity. Through this activity, we hope to inspire students to reduce plastic use, take environmental action, and restore the beauty of the ocean.

The marine-themed exhibit area became a popular photo spot. Students were amazed that waste paper could be transformed into lifelike marine creatures.

Not only did we set up an environmental protection exhibition on campus, but we also started promoting the "Jian Dui" point collection card, encouraging everyone to join us.

(III) Designing "Jian Dui" Eco-Friendly Collect Point Cards – Launching a Campus Environmental Campaign

We distributed collect point cards; students who completed each environmental activity received a sticker. Once the collect point card was filled with stickers, students could enter a raffle for a chance to win a beautiful little Omamori!
We also thank everyone for their willingness to learn from Nuwa Mends the Sky's spirit and work together to protect the environment.

We can save our planet by starting with the 5 Rs:
Reduce: Save energy, turn off lights and water when in use, and eat less processed food.
Reuse: Use eco-friendly products, use appliances with eco-labels, and grow more plants.
Repair: Repair instead of buying.
Recycle: Recycle resources properly and avoid littering.
Refuse: Refuse to use plastic products and reduce the use of single-use items.

(IV) Distributing Collect Point Cards According to Each Class's Participation Intentions

Our team launched the "Mends the Sky Action Card" campaign, combining the 5Rs of environmental protection with a point collection activity. For example, saving energy, recycling resources, and reducing plastic use—completing just one action earns a stamp.
